Legend

The name "Kirirom" means "Happiness Mountain." This name was chosen by King Monivong in the 1930s. Before this, the area was known as Phnom Vorvong Sorvong. This ancient name refers to the two main hills in the region. These hills are connected to a Cambodian legend about two brave prince brothers named Vorvong and Sorvong.
