Saiful Muluk National Park

Saiful Muluk National Park (Urdu: سیف الملوک نیشنل پارک) is located in the Kaghan Valley, within the Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The park was established in 2003 and is centered around the alpine Saiful Muluk Lake.

Flora and fauna

The plants in this area include trees, shrubs, and other types of vegetation found in the Western Himalayan subalpine conifer forests and the higher elevation Western Himalayan alpine shrub and meadow ecoregions.

Some of the animals living in the park include the snow leopard, Asiatic black bear, marmot, weasel, Eurasian lynx, Indian leopard, Himalayan snowcock, and snow partridge. The lakes and wetlands in the park are important habitats for both animals that live there year-round and birds that travel to the area during migration.

Region

Lulusar-Dudipatsar National Park, which includes Lulusar Lake and Dudipatsar Lake, is next to Saiful Muluk National Park in the Kaghan Valley region. The two parks together protect 88,000 hectares (about 220,000 acres).
