Volcán Isluga National Park is located in the Andes Mountains in the Tarapacá Region of Chile, near Colchane and south of the Lauca Biosphere Reserve. The park covers an area of 1,747 square kilometers (675 square miles), with elevations ranging from 2,100 to 5,550 meters (6,890 to 18,210 feet). The park is named after Volcán Isluga, which reaches an elevation of 5,550 meters and is the highest mountain in the park.
Peaks
There are many peaks in the national park. The most famous ones are Qinsachata Hill (5400 m), Tatajachura Hill (5252 m), Isluga Volcano (5218 m), and Catarama (5207 m).
Flora
The park has plants that grow at high altitudes. Many types of cacti and queñoas are found in the park. The park has cultural heritage from the Aymara people. There are several ceremonial towns in the park, like Isluga.
