Geography

Cordillera del Condor National Park is located in the Amazonas region of northern Peru, close to the border with Ecuador. The most important geographic feature is the Cordillera del Condor, a mountain range covered with forests. These mountains take up about 90% of the park. The rest of the park has low hills and flat areas near rivers, called river terraces. The main rivers are the Cenepa and the Santiago rivers. The highest point in the park is about 2,500 meters above sea level.

Climate

Cordillera del Condor National Park has a wet tropical climate. The climate data comes from the village of Coangos, located in Ecuador at an elevation of 1576 meters. This village is near the Peruvian border and outside the boundaries of the national park.
