El Feidja National Park (Arabic: الحديقة الوطنية الفيجة) is in the Jendouba region of northwest Tunisia. The park covers an area of 2,765 hectares (6,830 acres). It is famous for having many different types of plants and animals, places with old artifacts or ruins, and beautiful natural areas such as forests, mountains, natural springs, and lakes.

History

Ecology

El Feidja has many important animals:

  • Barbary stag — one of the few groups left in North Africa.
  • African golden wolf.
  • Barbary boar.

The park also has many different types of birds and plants that are only found there.

Archaeology

The area is also important as an archaeological site. Artifacts and other signs of ancient civilizations have been found inside the park.

Tourism

El Feidja provides opportunities for hiking, eco-tourism, and guided trips. Visitors can walk on paths through thick forests, climb mountain trails, and visit natural water sources.
