Caramoan National Park is a protected area covering 347 hectares (860 acres) in Camarines Sur, Philippines. It was created in 1938. The park includes caves, limestone structures, white sandy beaches, an island lake, and an underground river, which attract many visitors. The park can be reached by public transportation from the town of Caramoan. Local residents have built trails in the park to help visitors explore the area.
Geography
The national park is located in the Caramoan Peninsula, a peninsula with many hills in north-east Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines. The area has deep gorges and rough, rocky ground. It is also an Important Bird Area that provides habitat for the green racket-tail (Prioniturus luconensis).
