Manovo-Gounda St Floris National Park (French: Parc national du Manovo-Gounda St Floris) is a protected area and UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Central African Republic, in the Bamingui-Bangoran region, near the border with Chad. It was added to the World Heritage List in 1988 because of the variety of plants and animals living there.
The Dzanga-Ndoki National Park is located in the farthest part of the southwestern region of the Central African Republic. Created in 1990, the park covers an area of 1,143.26 square kilometers (441.42 square miles). The park is divided into two separate parts: the northern Dzanga sector (also called Dzanga Park), which is 49,500 hectares (122,000 acres), and the southern Ndoki sector (also called Ndoki Park), which is 72,500 hectares (179,000 acres).
The Bamingui-Bangoran National Park complex is a national park and biosphere reserve found in the northern part of the Central African Republic. It is part of the Guinea-Congo Forest biome. The Vassako Bolo Strict Nature Reserve is located inside the park.
Waza National Park is located in the Department of Logone-et-Chari, in the Far North Region of Cameroon. It was created in 1934 as a hunting reserve and covers an area of 1,700 square kilometers (660 square miles). In 1968, the park became a national park, and in 1979, it was designated a UNESCO biosphere reserve.
Lobéké National Park, also called Lake Lobake National Park, is a protected area in southeastern Cameroon. It is located in the Moloundou Arrondissement of East Province. The park is in the Congo Basin.
Korup National Park is located in the Southwest Province of Cameroon and covers an area of 1,260 km², mostly untouched primary forest. It is known as one of Africa’s oldest and most diverse tropical forests, with a wide variety of plants and animals. It is the easiest rainforest national park to visit in Cameroon, offering simple lodging, trails, and facilities for visitors.
Campo Ma’an National Park is a 2,680 square kilometer National Park in Cameroon, located in the South Region of the Océan area. It is bordered by Equatorial Guinea to the south, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and the Vallée-du-Ntem and Mvila regions to the east. The park and its buffer zone cover approximately 700,000 hectares.
Bénoué National Park is a protected area in Cameroon and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. It covers an area of 1,800 km² (690 sq mi). The park has a long stretch along the Bénoué River, which is more than 100 km (62 mi) long and forms the park’s eastern boundary.
Kaboré Tambi National Park is a protected area located in Burkina Faso. It lies between the capital city, Ouagadougou, and the border with Ghana, following the path of the Nazinon River. The park was established in 1976 as Pô National Park and later renamed to honor a park ranger who was killed by poachers in 1991.
Outamba-Kilimi National Park is found in the Karene District, which is in the north-west part of Sierra Leone, close to the border with Guinea. The park is split into two parts: Outamba (741 km) and Kilimi (368 km). The park is named after the highest mountain in one part, Mount Outamba, and the longest river in the other part, River Kilimi.
