Semuliki National Park is located in Bwamba County, a remote area of the Bundibugyo District in Uganda’s Western Region. It was created in October 1993 and covers 219 km (85 sq mi) of East Africa’s only lowland tropical rainforest. The park is known for having a high number of different plant and animal species, with many types of birds and butterflies.
Queen Elizabeth National Park covers the districts of Kasese, Kamwenge, Rubirizi, and Rukungiri. To the east, it is next to Kyambura Game Reserve, which is also next to Kigezi Game Reserve. Kigezi Game Reserve includes the Maramagambo Forest and connects to Kibale National Park to the northeast.

Kidepo Valley National Park is a large national park located in the Karamoja region of northeastern Uganda. It covers an area of 1,442 square kilometers (557 square miles) and includes rough grasslands at the base of Mount Morungole. The Kidepo and Narus rivers flow through the park.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a protected area located in southwestern Uganda. It is part of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and lies near the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, adjacent to Virunga National Park and on the edge of the Albertine Rift. The park covers an area of 321 kilometers (124 square miles) and includes both lowland and mountain forests.
The Udzungwa Mountains National Park is located in Tanzania’s Kilolo District of Iringa Region and Kilombero District of Morogoro Region. The park covers an area of 1,990 square kilometers (770 square miles). Its habitats include tropical rainforest, mountain forest, miombo woodland, grassland, and steppe.
Tarangire National Park is a protected area located in Tanzania’s Manyara Region. The park’s name comes from the Tarangire River, which flows through it. This river is the main source of fresh water for animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the dry season.
Saadani National Park is a protected area in Tanzania that covers 1,062 km (410 sq mi). It was officially established in 2005 and is managed by the Tanzania National Parks Authority. The park is located in the southeastern part of Pangani District in Tanga Region and the northeastern part of Chalinze District in Pwani Region.
Ruaha National Park is located in Tanzania. In 2008, the Usangu Game Reserve and other important wetlands were added to the park, making it about 20,226 square kilometers (7,809 square miles) in size. The park is approximately 130 kilometers (81 miles) west of Iringa.
Mkomazi National Park is a protected area in Tanzania. It is located in Same District of Kilimanjaro Region and Lushoto District, with a small part in Mkinga District of Tanga Region. The park was first created as a game reserve in 1951 and became a national park in 2006.
