Altai Tavan Bogd National Park (Mongolian: Алтай Таван богд байгалийн цогцолбор газар, ᠠᠯᠲᠠᠢ ᠲᠠᠪᠤᠨ ᠪᠣᠭᠳᠠ ᠪᠠᠶᠢᠭᠠᠯ ᠤᠨ ᠴᠣᠭᠴᠠᠯᠠᠪᠤᠷᠢ ᠭᠠᠵᠠᠷ, Altai five saints nature complex) is a protected area in Bayan-Ölgii Province, western Mongolia. The park includes the Mongolian part of the Tavan Bogd mountain range, which is shared with Russia and China along the Altai Mountains. The park covers 6,362 square kilometers and is located south of Tavan Bogd, Mongolia’s highest mountain.
Alaniya National Park (Russian: Национальный парк «Ала́ния») is a mountainous area covered with glaciers on the northern side of the Central Caucasus Mountains. It is located in the southern part of the Irafsky District in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The park was established for two main purposes: to protect the area’s rich natural environment, which includes many types of plants and animals, such as the near-endangered west Caucasian tur, and to preserve its cultural history and provide opportunities for outdoor activities.
Zov Tigra National Park, also called “Call of the Tiger National Park” or “Roar of the Tiger,” is a protected area in Russia that helps save the endangered Amur Tiger. The park covers 83,384 hectares (206,046 acres) in the Primorsky Krai region, which is part of Russia’s Far East. It is located about 100 kilometers northeast of Vladivostok, on both sides of the southern part of the Sikhote-Alin mountain range.
Zaybaykalsky National Park (Russian: Забайкальский национальный парк), also known as Trans-Baikal in English, includes the middle part of the eastern side of Lake Baikal, the western side of the Barguzin Mountains to the east, the Ushkany Islands, and the only large peninsula on the lake, Svyatoy Nos (“Holy Nose”). The park covers an area of 2,690 square kilometers (1,040 square miles). Of this, 38.8 square kilometers are protected water areas of Lake Baikal itself.
